The Legacy Project

THE LEGACY PROJECT

What is The Legacy Project?

Working from a suggestion by one of our patrons, we developed Lakeside Little Theatre's Legacy Project to share stories from some of our very talented members, directors and performers, and to show our gratitude that they have chosen Lakeside Little Theatre as an outlet for their skills here in Mexico.

We began the project with a series of interviews with long-time residents of Lakeside, led by Patrick O'Heffernan, a skilled radio interviewer, providing an engaging environment and interesting questions.  The film was edited and technically enhanced by Jim Jack, who was also behind the camera, the Stage Manager was JeanMarie Harmon, and technical support was provided by Garry Peerless.

Stay tuned for additional Legacy Project interviews!

Back to History

ROGER LARSON has been part of the Ajijic theatre scene for many years, and has appeared in seven plays at LLT. His professional career as an actor included roles in plays like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Fantasticks and Night of the Iguana, to name a few. Roger has also appeared in film in the 70's. PEGGY LORD CHILTON was the person who introduced the idea of the Legacy Project to Lakeside Little Theatre, so it is most appropriate that she star in its next chapter. Peggy has directed a musical and six plays at LLT, as well as acting in nine plays for us. Peggy has a very colorful and rich past and has appeared on television, in film and on the stage in the US and England. (Top)

To kick off the project, the Board unanimously selected BARBARA CLIPPINGER for our first interview. Who could be more fitting than the person who has directed the most plays at LLT, produced a fundraiser that contributed a sizable portion to the theatre, and has quite a colorful past to boot.  (Top)
